Blood Draw Instructions
*Please note this is a fasting blood draw. Please do not eat or drink anything other than water for 12 hours prior to your test. The morning of your blood draw, we ask that you be well hydrated. You can go to www.labcorp.com to schedule an appointment.
Labcorp
If you have a PPO insurance plan, you have the option to run your blood work through your insurance. You will receive a completed Labcorp Requisition. This requisition should be taken to your nearest Labcorp.
*Please make sure to verify if your insurance company is contracted with Labcorp and what your deductible is prior to drawing. Sometimes the self-pay option is more affordable*
PCS
If you choose to self-pay for your blood work you will be given a PCS requisition. Our full panel of blood work comes to a low rate of $180. This fee will need to be paid at Bloom Natural Health prior to your blood draw. Any additional test added on to our regular requisition will also need to be paid for.
Spectracell
Spectracell is also a blood test. This test assesses nutritional deficiencies in the body. This should be drawn on the same day as the above-mentioned blood work so that you only have to go to the lab once.
You are required to fill out your name and contact information on the requisition. There is a $170 copay for all patients with insurance (both HMO & PPO). Insurance will then be billed for the remainder of the test. You must write down a credit card number on the requisition prior to having the test performed. This is a very expensive test and if you fail to provide them with a credit card, they will bill you for the entire test. You also must include a copy of your insurance card, front and back.
You will bring the Spactracell box, with the completed requisition and copy of your insurance card to Labcorp the morning of your blood draw.
Please contact the office should you have any questions regarding your blood draw or any of these tests. We do not guarantee insurance coverage for any of our tests; this is something that you need to work out with your insurance company prior to drawing.
